Fire Prevention Month 2011 (Philippines)

Manila, Philippines - November 17, 1966, President Ferdinand MarcosFerdinand Marcos duly signed law on Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A as Fire Prevention Month in March every year.

This month's theme is " “Kahandaan sa Sunog, Tungo sa Kaunlaran (Fire Prevention, Towards Progress)" in collaboration with Bureau of Fire Prevention(BFP). Several activities will be designated to various cities and provinces as an awareness to the people on how to prevent fire.

A parade just started today, March 06 which has participated by different firetrucks station within Metro Manila.

Let us all cooperate as they too service us in case of fire. Measures and precautions must be taken and necessary actions to prevent any loss when fire exists.

According to Kunkle, the new sign is based on a human being who actually lived hundreds of years ago. The constellation of Ophiuchus is also found in the sky which is the basis of this star sign. The follow on events such as the Adoration of the Magi and the Flight into Egypt appear mostly in the Gospel of Matthew.
